The Kalaylah Foundation
The Kalaylah Foundation, in the process of being born, will support the voluntary activities of civil-society workers in the Philippines led by my friend, Cesar Villanueva. It is headquartered at the Niall O’Brien Centre for Active Nonviolence, Reconciliation and Community Futures, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines:
The Kalaylah Foundation is named after the fifth child of Cesar and Jo Villanueva, and my God-daughter, Kalaylah Villanueva. Kalaylah comes from the Tagalog words "Kalayaan ng Lahi” which mean "Freedom of the Generation/Human Race".
The Kalaylah Foundation will receive a percentage of net fees received for speeches or workshops booked through this website.
This will help in community futures and development such as that at Isio (pictured above). If you otherwise wish to support the work, or need more information, contact Cesar Villanueva at chv@mail.usls.edu.ph or Tony Stevenson at tony@tonystevenson.org. |
